Au Pair Visa Requirements for DenmarkIndividuals wishing to work in Denmark as an au pair are generally between 17-29 years old. Au pairs from any of the Nordic countries are not required to get a residence permit and can freely travel to and work in Denmark. Au pairs from other EU countries (excluding the eight new Eastern European EU members) should apply for a residence certificate to work in Demark. This can be obtained from the local authority “statsamt”.
